St. Andrews Old Course – Part 3 — “Wind and Bunkers”

I started filming upon reaching the infamous Hell’s Bunker on this hole. Called Hole O’Cross because you literally want to aim your tee shot so far left you literally play across towards the 14th fairway. This is the #1 Handicap hole according to the scorecard at St. Andrews. I describe my double bogey 7 on this hole, which included putting up a hill from off the green, and having the ball come all the way back down past where I was currently standing. And then putting again, this time way too far past the hole (in fear of repeating my previous stroke).

With the US Open finishing on Sunday, the Old Course is on deck, ready to host The Open Championship in mid-July. The course closed on Sunday, as per usual, but will remain closed until it’s time for the world’s top golfers to step on it.
