Bluegreen Resort Works with Dennis Fire Department to Create Training Session
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) October 25, 2011
Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG), a leading provider of Colorful Places to Play, is pleased to announce its Dennis Port, Massachusetts resort, The Soundings Seaside Resort, opened up one of its buildings to host a training session for the Town of Dennis Fire Department, as well as five other surrounding municipalities. The combined training exercise allowed the departments to test, teach and update the skills of approximately 80 firefighters.
The Bluegreen-managed property opened 44 of its doors to The Town of Dennis Fire Department Tuesday, October 18, 2011. The resort building that was used as the training base of operations is set to be demolished in the coming weeks in order to make room for a new resort building. The Town of Dennis Fire Deputy Chief set up four stations within the building:
1. Lecture on Accountability – a seminar on the importance of knowing where all team members are at all times, so no member is left behind.
2. Roof and Ventilation Operations ? a session on ventilating burning buildings. Teams were able to put knowledge to use and actually cut holes into the building roof.
3. Forced Entry Through Doors ? Fire fighters practiced breaking through barricaded doors, as well as creating other entryways, called ?breaching the walls.?
4. Obstacle course ? Brewster, Mass., Fire Chief Bob Moran created an obstacle course through adjoining rooms for fire fighters to gain experience in large building procedures.
?Having lived on the Cape for over 20 years, and having to rely on the fire department for many services, I welcomed the opportunity to work closely with the Town of Dennis Fire Department and Captain Tucker and give something real back,? explains R. Jake Jacobus, General Manager of The Soundings.
Jacobus was not the only one pleased with the session?s results, as the Deputy Chief of the Dennis Fire Department added, ?The experience at The Soundings was just fantastic.? He reported, ?Feedback from the crews who participated in the training session was positive, as everyone was pleased with the drill. And there was an outstanding level of support from the staff on hand.?
The Soundings Seaside Resort rests upon 365 feet of private beach along the Nantucket Sound. The studios, one- and two-bedroom suites offer all the modern accommodations to be expected of a luxury Bluegreen resort, yet continue to maintain the traditional charm of Cape Cod.

Electrical Training Courses

Electrical Training Courses are suitable for all skill levels; from new entrants to the electrical industry, to tradespeople looking to cross skill from another trade, through to professionals looking to upgrade their qualifications and skills.
There are a wide range of courses available, from part time, full time, weekend, week day, long term to short term – so youre sure to find a course that you can fit around your life. There are also many different levels of courses available.
NVQs provide the candidate with work-based, practical experience as well as a qualification and are designed for 16 to 25 year olds. In order to qualify for an NVQ you will need four GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths, Science and English.
If you are over 25 you will need to look into a technical certificate such as a City & Guilds. Or you can undertake one of many Part P courses. These courses are designed to give individuals formal electrical training in the field of Domestic Electrical Installation Work. These qualifications are recognised by accreditation bodies, meaning that you can register with these bodies and certify your own work. By participating in Part P training you also have peace of mind that your work is safe and compliant.
One of the most popular courses is the BPEC Part P Electrical Full Scope course. Some courses require an element of electrical knowledge and experience but this course is ideal for beginners. The course covers levels A,B,C and D of electrical work and once the course is completed you will be able to join the full scope electrical competent persons schemes offered by ELECSA. You will also be able to test and certify your own work.
Renewable energy sources are becoming increasingly popular, especially with the feed-in tariff being introduced to encourage UK homeowners to switch to energy sources such as heat pumps and solar panels. This demand for qualified installers is a great opportunity for any electricians looking to increase their offering. There are many top-up courses available to allow you to fit renewable energy sources. Please be aware that to legally install Solar P.V you need a Part P Qualification Full Scope and the 17th edition courses qualification.
